Okay, so for a long time, I’ve been wanting to do some sort of post-a-day type of thing. So rather than feeling guilty about barely writing any posts for this blog, I’ve decided to stop being lazy & just come up with a post a day plan. Considering that it is the first day of the month, it is now the perfect time to start a one month, post-a-day challenge.
I decided to pick topics that I knew I could write something interesting about, but also something which would be a little bit of a challenge to write about. So I came up with a month worth of post prompts/topics. Feel free to do this challenge as well if you’re interested. If you decide you want to, tag it with #postadaymay because I’d really like to read what you write! 🙂
Here are the questions/prompts/topics for each day:
May 1: What is something you crave right now?
May 2: Do you have any pets?
May 3: Do you enjoy nature? What do you appreciate the most in nature? Do you spend a lot of time outside?
May 4: What is the most beautiful time of day?
May 5: What is your favorite charity & why?
May 6: What steps do you take to reduce your impact on the environment? Do you recycle? Carpool? Use energy efficient bulbs? Explain what you do & share any green tips or ideas.
May 7: What is your favorite food & why?
May 8: What is your viewpoint on life? Are you serious or carefree? Do you have a good sense of humor? Are you an optimist or pessimist?
May 9: If you were trapped on a desert island & could only bring five things with you, what would you bring?
May 10: What is your favorite sport & why?
May 11: What is something you love but you don’t know why? This can either be something you collect or something you are drawn to.
May 12: What holiday is your favorite? Why do you enjoy it so much? Do you have any special traditions?
May 13: Make a list of at least 10 places you want to travel & why
May 14: What are your favorite genres of music & why? Give some examples of your favorite musicians within these genres.
May 15: Do you have any special diet? If so, what are your reasons for eating or refraining from eating certain things?
May 16: What do you do for a living? What did you want to be when you grew up? Examine how your goals regarding your career changed or stayed the same as you matured.
May 17: Describe your sense of humor
May 18: Write a how-to on something you’re good at
May 19: Who are your favorite musicians & why? Which songs of theirs are your favorites?
May 20: Write about something that happened to you within the last month. How has this affected you? How do you feel about it? This event can be happy, funny, sad, challenging, etc.
May 21: What is your favorite painting? Write a review on it, describing all the details in it as though you were trying to get a friend to imagine it over the phone. What do you like best about the painting? How does it make you feel?
May 22: Write about a current news event & your take on what’s happening
May 23: They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Post a photo you took & try to write a thousand words about the photograph.
May 24: Write about a memory of yours. It doesn’t matter what it is, as long as it’s important to you & stands out in your mind
May 25: What are your favorite movies & why?
May 26: Make a detailed Top 1o List. This can be about anything, from films to songs to recipes
May 27: What is your favorite book & why?
May 28: Name something you frequently use, something you can’t see how you lived without it before you got one & explain how it has changed your life
May 29: Write about your hobbies
May 30: What would you do with a million dollars?
May 31: Did you enjoy this lens challenge? If you did, would you want to do it again? How did this lens challenge effect you? Did it improve your writing skills? Did it increase the traffic to your blog?
